Golden Sparrows are a variety of Sparrow that inhabit the mountains of the Eldin Region, primarily the slopes of Death Mountain itself.[2][3] They survive in this harsh environment thanks to their body feathers being resistant to burning, which protects them from Death Mountain's Scorching Climate.[3] They are primarily predators in diet, and feed on small Insects that they search for among rocks.[3] They gather in flocks, but they will fly away if they are disturbed. Golden Sparrows drop a single Chickaloo Tree Nut when killed.
