zelchi Template:Boss Gohdan is the guardian of the Tower of the Gods, and is the last test before the gods acknowledge Link as the True Hero. Gohdan is strong, however he has very few attacks.

Strategy

He will make desperate attempts to grab you and smack you around, so shoot at the eyes on both hands with your Bow and Arrows. After you shoot his hands, his eyes become vulnerable. Shoot both eyes and he'll crash to the ground. Throw a bomb into his mouth. When he recovers he'll try to hit you with a barrage of flames, which is avoided by rolling. Repeat this two more times, and Gohdan is history. NOTE: If you take too long aiming at both eyes or the second hand after shooting down the first, the hand you last shot will completely recover.

Trivia

Gohdan is very similar in shape and strategy to Bongo Bongo, a boss from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Gohdan also has similar weakpoints of Andross, an infamous boss from the Starfox series. Gohdan's hands also share similarities with Eyerok, the boss of Shifting Sand Lands in Super Mario 64.

Gohdan is also the only boss in Wind Waker that is not evil, and thus he does not explode upon his defeat. This boss simply returns to the wall it was embedded in at the beginning of the battle. This is also demonstrated by the fact that, once Link exhausts his supply of arrows or bombs, Gohdan will dispense more from its nose.
