Garo Masters are Garo generals who wield two flaming sabers. They rush at Link with sabers, but shielding or sidestepping can force back their blows. In order to defeat a Garo Master, Link must stun it with the Hookshot, a Deku Nut, or any other projectile, and then attack them with his Sword. Another strategy is to avoid it's attacks and strike it when their guard is down. Garo Masters have the habit of disappearing after an attack. When this happens, Link must run away as they will drop from the ceiling and attack. If Link strikes them, he must immediately guard since they will launch a lightning-fast counter-attack. When defeated, they will pull out a Bomb and commit a form of seppuku, blowing themselves up.[2] A Garo Master can be fought in the Stone Tower Temple, where it guards the Light Arrow.[3] Other Garo Masters can also be fought in the Secret Shrine and in the Link Dungeon.

The Garo's Mask from Majora's Mask 3D resembles a Garo Master instead of a Garo Ninja.

Trivia

  • Before the battle with the Garo Master in Stone Tower Temple, it jumps down from a hole in the ceiling. This hole is the same in which Link jumps into to face Twinmold while the temple is inverted.
