This article is about the Item in A Link Between Worlds and Object in Breath of the Wild. For the Side Quest in Breath of the Wild, see "The Forgotten Sword".

The Forgotten Sword are recurring Objects and Items in the The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Location and Uses

A Link Between Worlds

After the Captain forgets his Sword at the Blacksmith's Forge, Link is tasked with finding him and returning the Forgotten Sword.[3] This takes Link to the Sanctuary, where he witnesses the Captain locked inside.[4] With help from Dampé, Link takes the Secret Passage under the Graveyard so he can make it into the Sanctuary.[5] Once inside, Link discovers that Yuga has transformed the Captain into a Painting, allowing him to keep the Forgotten Sword.[6]

The Forgotten Sword does half a Heart of damage.[citation needed] It can also be used to cut and break objects such as Grass, Jars, and Signs.

Breath of the Wild

In Breath of the Wild, the Forgotten Sword is a massive sword sculpture originally part of the Statue of the Eighth Heroine.[7] It is located on Gerudo Summit between the statue and East Gerudo Ruins, a moderate distance away from the rest of the statue. A Golden Claymore is found at the base of the blade.

A photo of the Sword is required to be shown to Bozai as part of "The Forgotten Sword" Side Quest.
