The Fireshield Earrings are obtained after Link successfully completes the Silent Realm trial in Eldin Volcano. They can be used similar to the Goron Tunic in Ocarina of Time to protect Link from the great heat insides Eldin Volcano. Additionally, when Link enters a hot area or catches fire, the earrings will flash and he will be immune to heat (excluding lava).

Upon entering an extremely hot region such as the Volcano Summit, the Fireshield Earrings will flash and prevent Link from spontaneously combusting, allowing him to explore the area unhindered. The earrings will also automatically extinguish Link should he be set on fire by an enemy or trap, reducing the damage taken. They do not protect Link from fire-based attacks or direct contact with lava.

The Fireshield Earrings are an item obtained by Link after successfully passing the test of Din's Silent Realm. They appear as a pair of red earrings with triangular spikes.
