Curiosity Shop is a location in Majora's Mask.[1]

Features and Overview

The Curiosity Shop is located in West Clock Town next to the Trading Post. Both shops are run by the same person;[2] at night, the Man from Trading Post becomes the Man from Curiosity Shop and the Part-Timer staffs the Trading Post instead. The Curiosity Shop is open every night from 10:0PM to 5:00AM.[3][4][5] The Man from Curiosity Shop will offer to buy most Bottled items from Link.

The Curiosity Shop has a reputation for selling stolen goods.[6] The thief Sakon is a regular.[7] He appears at the shop at 12:30 AM on the Night of the Second Day to sell the Big Bomb Bag he stole from the Old Lady from the Bomb Shop, provided Link did not prevent the theft. The Man from Curiosity Shop initially offers to buy the Big Bomb Bag for 100 Rupees.[8] When Sakon attempts to negotiate a higher price, the Man from Curiosity Shop threatens to tell the Bomb Shop about the theft and blackmails Sakon into selling the Bomb Bag for only 50 Rupees.[15] The Bomb Bag goes on sale the next night for 100 Rupees.[16] If Link prevents the theft of the Bomb Bag, Sakon does not visit the Curiosity Shop and the All-Night Mask is sold on the Night of the Final Day instead.

When Takkuri steals a Bottle or Sword from Link, it will bring the item to the Curiosity Shop. Link can buy back the item that same night, or the next night if the item is stolen after 5:00 AM.[note 1] These stolen items remain available for sale every night thereafter, alongside any other items that are normally for sale on that night.

Patrons of the Curiosity Shop can be spied on through a peephole in the Curiosity Shop Back Room. Kafei hides there after Sakon steals the Sun Mask from him, waiting for Sakon to appear in the shop.[17] The Back Room is accessible from the Laundry Pool, which has a bell for those who have business with the Curiosity Shop.[18]
