Bazu or Buzz are lizard or insect-like creatures that appear in the Thieves' Town dungeon of A Link to the Past. They live at the top floor of the dungeon in the Village of Outcasts, scurrying around the corners of the rooms and darting in and out of the sunlight. Their behavior is very similar to a Rat, but they are significantly stronger, able to do two hearts worth of damage rather than a mere quarter, and they can resist multiple sword blows. Due to their fast speed and large numbers, they can be very dangerous to a weaker adverturer despite their size. They appear alongside Stalropes and Chasupa.
Trivia
- The name Buzz would imply that they are possibly insects rather than reptiles, although it may simply refer to their fast movements.
- The top floor of Blind's dungeon is infested with these smaller pest-like monsters, which hints that Blind never visits the top floor due to the light. The top floor therefore seems somewhat like an inverted basement.
