In A Link To The Past, Link turned into a fluffy pink rabbit in the Dark World until he had gotten the moon pearl. He also experienced this transformation in other parts of his ALttP adventures.
Legend says that when in the dark world you become what your heart reflects, Link becomes a Bunny becuase he has the timid compassion of a rabbit.

Some people believe that this transformation has some corralation to the TP wolf transformation. They believe that TP Link is transformed into a wolf because a wolf acurately reflects TP Links heart. This is yet to be seen.
