The Blastworm is an enemy featured in Spirit Tracks. Link first encounters this enemy in the Forest Temple, and they are used to solve a number of puzzles. When injured, the Blastworm will roll into a spiny ball which detonates on contact. Blastworms are naturally quite docile, though they will crawl towards Link if the player comes too close.
Blastworms resemble caterpillars or other larvae. Stagnox throws Blastworms out of its backside during its second form.
