Bio Deku Babas may be more closely related to the the Baba Serpents from Twilight Princess than any other of the Baba plant, given the similar trait of surviving being chopped from the stem, however, how closely they are related is arguable considering the difference in environment as well as the Bio Deku Baba's more passive nature after being severed from its stem. | ||

The Bio Deku Baba is an enemy found in the Great Bay Temple, or in Secret Grottos in Majora's Mask. They are similar to their cousins, the Deku Baba, but instead of growing from the ground, they live under lilypads, from which they can be cut. When they are cut off, they start to crawl around on the bottom of the pool they live on. They will stay there and wait if nobody is at the bottom of the water with them, but if Link is there, they will attack him. They can be defeated by the use of projectiles such as Mikau's Twin Boomerangs. If Link attemps to stand on the pads, the Baba will flip and damage him. If the Bio Deku Babas are hit in the their "head" instead of the vine, they will die instead of falling into the water below.
