Big Fairies are a species in Ocarina of Time.[1]
Characteristics
Big Fairies resemble wingless glowing balls. In certain areas, such as near the portal to Zora's River in the Lost Woods, or at Gossip Stones, if Navi glows green, Link can play the Ocarina to make a Big Fairy appear. It restores eight Hearts and refills the Magic Meter. It cannot be caught in a Bottle, and therefore cannot revive Link when he runs out of health.
In Ocarina of Time 3D, Big Fairies have changed to yellow to be more easily distinguishable from normal Fairies, have wings, and now fully heal Link.
