Big Fairies are a species in Ocarina of Time.[1]

Characteristics

Big Fairies resemble wingless glowing balls. In certain areas, such as near the portal to Zora's River in the Lost Woods, or at Gossip Stones, if Navi glows green, Link can play the Ocarina to make a Big Fairy appear. It restores eight Hearts and refills the Magic Meter. It cannot be caught in a Bottle, and therefore cannot revive Link when he runs out of health.

In Ocarina of Time 3D, the color of the Big Fairy has been changed to yellow to differ from the normal Fairies, has wings, and now fully heals Link.
