- This article is about the enemy. For other uses, see Beetle.
Beetles are recurring enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.
Characteristics
Link's Awakening
In Link's Awakening, Beetles appear from a hole in the ground south of Kanalet Castle whenever Link gets close. They can be defeated with a single Sword slash, but endlessly continue appearing from the hole.
Oracle of Seasons
In Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, Beetles can appear when Link digs a hole using the Shovel.
The Minish Cap
In The Minish Cap, Bettles appear under rocks and grass or when digging with the Mole Mitts. If they grab Link, he will not be able to move until he swings his Sword.
Nomenclature
The Beetle's Japanese name, "Zoro Zoro," is derived from the Japanese onomatopoeia for insects skittering around.
