Template:Item The Ball and Chain is an item appearing in Twilight Princess.
Location and Uses
The Ball and Chain is located in one of the northernmost rooms of Snowpeak Ruins, where the mini-boss Darkhammer is found. Darkhammer uses the Ball and Chain as its main weapon, and once defetead, Link can pickup the item to add it to his inventory.
The Ball and Chain can be used to break through ice and rocks and inflict heavy damage on enemies. Link can also swing it to damage any enemy around him. Some enemies, such as Stalfos, can be defeated in a single hit of the Ball and Chain.
After being thrown, the Ball and Chain will return to Link, causing damage to any enemy in its path back to Link. Enemies like ReDeads and Chilfos can be defeated in one throw this way. The Ball and Chain is the only weapon aside from cannons that can defeat Freezards.
When Link holds the Ball and Chain in its hands, it can be used to deflect incoming projectiles, such as Chilfos ice spears.
