A Bad Bat is a bat-like creature resembling a Keese, but larger in size and a more black color. Other notable differences from Keese include their tendency to be quieter with the flapping of their wings, they are typically found in outside areas rather than inside, and they normally congregate in large groups. They are found spread across Termina in various places, including the upper portions of trees around the Termina Field area. They swoop down at Link and cause him to lose one quarter of a heart. Though they can be troublesome pests at times, they are one of the weaker enemies in the game, and can easily be avoided because of their slow flight speed. Bad Bats also make good practice for those who use the bow often, as they can easily be spotted from the sky in the right conditions. The mini-boss Gomess appears to be comprised of the bats.
