Ancient Fish appear in the northern portion of the Swamp Fishing Hole at all times on the First, Second, and Final Days. They can only be caught with the Sinking Lure. Ancient Fish are more susceptible to being caught while Link is wearing the Gibdo Mask.
These fish are also know as living fossils and are said to have a kinship with Gibdo [1].
Nomenclature
The name "Ancient Fish" is derived from the fact that Ancient Fish are based on coelacanths, which are notorious for ostensibly having remained taxonomically stagnant for roughly 400,000,000 years.
