Abominom (pronounced /əˈbɒmɨnəm/ ə-BOM-ə-nəm)[1] are enemies in the Philips CD-i game The Faces of Evil.

Characteristics

Abominoms are ape or monkey-like enemies that are found in cold regions, specifically in Nortinka and Serigon Caves. They attack by throwing stones at Link. As they are an ice-based enemy, they can only be defeated by throwing a Firestone at them, as all other attacks will have no effect on them. They in turn drop Snowballs when defeated.

Nomenclature

The name Abominom is likely derived from the word abominable, in reference to the Abominable Snowman, also known as the Yeti.
