Great Flameblades are two-handed Weapons made by Goron smiths in an ancient age.[1] They appear in the overworld of Hyrule Kingdom.They have a base attack damage of 34. Their additional elemental bonus adds 10 to the damage in a single hit if the they are charged.[1]
Great Flameblades are appear in the following locations:
- Ancient Tree Stump
- Coliseum Ruins (only if all four Divine Beasts have been calmed)
- The Docks
- Eldin Great Skeleton
- Lomei Labyrinth Island
Great Flameblades are among one of the most useful Weapons in non-combat scenarios. Upon a swing, Great Flameblades can turn Wood into Campfires, at which Link can rest. Carrying a Great Flameblade also grants Link one level of Cold Resistance. They will one-shot Ice-related Enemies, such as Ice Wizzrobes and Ice-Breath Lizalfos, when used against them.
Being made from metal, Great Flameblades will attract Lightning if they are equipped during a Thunderstorm. They will sink in Water, but they can be picked up and manipulated using the Magnesis Rune. They also do not burn when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.
