Naming

Does it really make sense to title this page 'Nightmare Key'? While the Link's Awakening remake may be the most recent game to feature them, that's a name that can only apply to Link's Awakening, and it's obvious that they'll be called Big Keys or Boss Keys the next time a Zelda game features them. Well, even if you search Big Key or Boss Key it will redirect you to the Nightmare Key page, so it doesn't matter much what the main page is named, right? It still takes the readers to where they want to go, just under a different name. User:Magicmason1000/sig 05:05, 9 May 2020 (UTC)
By that logic, we wouldn't have to move Gannon to "Ganon" as long as Ganon redirects to it. Common sense should override the policy of using the most recent name here. Raymond1922 (talk) 04:34, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Well, no, because the name of the page would be spelled incorrectly. Aeon was talking about different A.K.A terms for the same object, like Nightmare Key and Big Key, which are all canon names. Gannon is not a canon A.K.A and is just misspelled name, which has been corrected and has stayed that way for a long time. The name of the page does matter in terminology, but for readers we have redirects to assist with that. User:Magicmason1000/sig 20:40, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
A better analogy: say Majora's Mask 3D kept the original game's spelling of "Wizrobe". Would that mean we would move the Wizzrobe page to Wizrobe? No, that'd be silly, because every game before and since Majora's Mask has used the spelling "Wizzrobe". Likewise, no game other than Link's Awakening and remakes has called the Big Key the Nightmare Key. Rjd1922 (talk) 07:42, 27 September 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]
