Master Kohga

Characteristics

Master Kohga is the leader of the Yiga Clan, an opposing offshoot of the Sheikah Tribe, who hunt Link on a ceaseless mission. As such, he has a large amount of authority, which seems to be respected among his clansmen. However, he seems to have a quirky side to him, acting spontaneously and in a comical manner.

Strategy

The fight against Master Kohga consists of three phases, each of which utilize his control over magnetism and levitation. The main Rune used in this fight is Magnesis.

In the first phase, Master Kohga conjures up a rock above him to hurl at Link. Letting loose an arrow (or any long range weapon) at him as he does this will break his focus and drop the rock on his head, temporarily stunning him and allowing Link to get in some solid hits.

In the second phase, he levitates above the pit in the center of the arena and conjures up two rocks that spin around him. Time an arrow so that one of the rocks is directly above his head when he loses focus, dropping the rock towards him and launching him to the ground, allowing Link to hit him a few more times.

In the third and final phase, he conjures up a fortified boulder to attempt to crush Link. Use the Magnesis Rune to gain control over it and push it towards Kohga. This grapple ends fairly quickly and with some more chances to hit him.
