Seeing as the People category was defined to me as any sentient being in the games other than a deity, and that Ricky is definitely sentient, I'm adding him to the People category. Feel free to disagree and state your reasons. Dinosaur bob 23:00, 5 October 2007 (EDT)

Ricky's gender

Although the game was released in 2001, I realized just this week that male kangaroos have no pouch. The natural consequence is that Ricky is a female kangaroo. It took me ten years to realize it, so it is OK if the Japanese developers and/or the localization teams made the mistake: obviously they did not have ten years of time to work on the game!
As a side note, I often see "electric" jellyfish in Japanese games and medias, although jellyfish are not electric at all: they have microscopic acidic needles. --Abacos (talk) 22:18, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

We usually go with what the games say, and because the game doesn't ever specify its gender, we use the closest thing, which is the manual, where it specifies that Ricky is male. Even if in real life it's wrong, we have to go with what the in-game universe says. - Chuck * (Talk) 22:48, 29 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Still, I don't like the line "a pouch is normally characteristic of female kangaroos". The word "normally" implies that it's possible that a minority of male kangaroos have a pouch, but that is wrong. Having been a school teacher, I always try to arginate the spreading of errors and to spread correct knowledge instead. --Abacos (talk) 13:19, 30 October 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
