Hintobo is an Anouki who lives on the Isle of Frost in Phantom Hourglass. His name derives from the prefix of his name, namely the word "hint." He lurks around in the Anouki Estates and will give Link a hint that will help him discover the disguised Yook for 100 Rupees. He will help Link to exclude three of the six Anouki by telling him that that he should focus on the ones accusing others for lying, which are Aroo, Gumo or Kumu. The Yook does later on turn out to be Aroo.[1][2]

  2. "OK then, listen up. Don't worry your head about guys who say that other guys don't lie. The guys who say that others are honest won't lie to you. Why, you ask? Because then there would be two liars. Why again, you ask? There is only one liar. So, knowing that... Look at the ones who accuse others of lying, and you'll find your liar! Hah hah! Brilliant, right? No?" — Hintobo (Phantom Hourglass)
