Guardian of Time

Can we create an article on Lana and Cia's pre-split form? Does the game name this person, or does it just refer to her as "a sorceress"?KrytenKoro (talk) 23:56, 12 February 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Wait- Is Lana a Hylian? Neither she nor Cia have pointed ears, a trait belonging specifically to Hylians. So.. is she human? ~.:NasiDe:.~ 04:51, 22 April 2015 (UTC)

Well, Humans wouldn't be the first time, as they appeared in the Oracle games and Twilight Princess before. Personally though I find it hard to tell because Lana's and Cia's hair (and hat) obscure their ears. I guess if they were pointed, they would be more easily seen. Lana also refers to them both as being in a "clan", which usually in the Zelda universe, tends to denote a racial tribe or group. But there's really not enough information in HW to confirm or deny this, as the game is incredibly vague on parts of its story and characters. - Midoro (T C) 05:32, 22 April 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
If you look at the second video here, you'll see that she does indeed have pointed ears. From cutscene footage, you can tell that Cia does as well. User:Pakkun/sig 13:32, 22 April 2015 (UTC)
Just to note, when she claims she's part of a clan, she's also lying to the heroes, so I don't think we can use that to support the existence of a new tribe.KrytenKoro (talk) 13:40, 22 April 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Excuse me for asking, but lying? I don't think it was a lie, since Lana also said that Cia was not just part of the same clan, but her double as well. She made being part of the same clan pretty clear. Not like it matters anymore since I think we've confirmed Lana and Cia are Hylians, but still. - Midoro (T C) 16:53, 22 April 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
When she first introduces herself, she tries to pass off her obvious similarities to Cia as being part of the same clan, with the implication that there is some clan of humans who resemble Cia and Lana, which would not be the Hylians (else why would Hylians ask her?). She is later forced to reveal that she's only a member of the same clan inasmuch as Link is a member of the same clan as himself. The exact words Lana said the first time are technically true, because everyone is always the same clan as themselves, but the people she said it to and the question she was answering with it give it a dishonest implication of implying a clan of sorcerers distinct from the Hylians, that the later admission makes clear is not true. It's...actually, it's very much like if Link, a Hylian, had said "Shiek, why do you look so much like Zelda and not like me", and Shiek replied "Zelda and I are of the same species." There's an unspoken implication there that allows the speaker to be technically honest while very much misleading their audience, and it's clearly in play with Lana.KrytenKoro (talk) 17:54, 22 April 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]
