The Kokiri Forest is a village from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

The Kokiri Forest is the secret home of the Kokiri tribe. The village and forest region comprises of the central part of the Lost Woods, and is close to both Hyrule Field and the Sacred Forest Meadow. It is said that only a Kokiri can find it, and that no Kokiri can ever leave it, or they will die. The Kokiri Forest is actually home to the Great Deku Tree's Meadow, and is the a safe haven, compared to the rest of the Lost Woods. The Forest itself is a pleasent village, filled with tree-houses, and houses built from trees. There is a training course in the Forest, where it is said the Kokiri Sword lies hidden. There is also a shop which sells Deku Shields amongst other things.

The Kokiri Forest is the original Link's hometown; though he wasn't a Kokiri, it was where he grew up, and is home to his closest friends. And looking at the map in Twilight Princess, Ordon villiage seems to be built in the Kokiri villiage area, though no remains of the Kokiri are seen, with exeption to Link's tree home.
