Split suggestion (Moving Helping Romani and Cremia section to a new page)

I have been thinking, and perhaps this article should be split. Not because of the two characters, mind you; proposed is a separate article about the sidequests where Link helps the ranch girls, more or less like Reuniting Kafei and Anju does in regards of Kafei and Anju. Reasons for this include:

  1. The current article might fare well at focusing mostly on the biography and characteristics of the two characters.
  2. The new article might focus on the events where Link helps her, including the retrieval of Epona, the invasion of those entites, the escort of the milk delivery, and the final cutscenes where the sisters spend the Final Day together. In fact, the article might sport a content structure like that seen in Reuniting Kafei and Anju (the page about a sidequest revolving Kafei and Anju.

That's all for now. Supporters and detractors of this proposal alike are welcome to share opinions in regards of it. Godspeed. --User:K2L/sig 19:22, 4 December 2010 (EST)

While I do believe a split is in order and have been thinking of bringing it up, I think the split should involve the two separate characters. The events they have can remain on their pages and mention only those that pertain to them, such as the Gorman Brothers attacking the milk cart on Cremia as opposed to Romani. I understand where you're coming from, but I think this will work better.ZENOX T C 20:00, 4 December 2010 (EST)
Hmmm...I'm not too sure about this one. I remember when I first started working on expanding this page, I thought that whoever came up with the idea of having these two characters on the same page was a genius. I don't know, I guess if enough people vote for the split, then I won't oppose it, but I kinda like having Romani and Cremia in one page. On the other hand, I'm liking the idea of having a separate page to the girls' sidequests similar to the Reuniting Kafei and Anju (simply titled Helping Romani and Cremia). So I'll just sit back and see what the rest of the members think. Dany36 21:47, 4 December 2010 (EST)
I'm not sure about splitting the two characters, since they're as closely related as Twinrova (in both cases, we have sisters), meaning that they frequently share the same scenes, scenes that are best described in one page. The reason why I'm suggesting a new page for the sidequests is, .... well, see above =). But, in addition, it's a little akward to have a section about Romani, one about Cremia, and then one page about how to help them; in a hypothetical new page focusing on the sidequests, we could describe the involvments (required items, rewards, related places, etc.), how Link helps them, and perhaps a few extra images. I admit that these ranch sidequests aren't as intrincate as the reunion of Cremia's love interest and her best friend, but it might be a second step to start making pages about sidequests that aren't an item hunt, a minigame or a trading sequence. At least I think that would provide interest to new users of the wiki. --User:K2L/sig 22:04, 4 December 2010 (EST)
Actually, I like having them on the same page (big suprise), and I really don't see a reason to split them, there's not a overly large amount of content on either character for single articles, and overall... the two combined seem to create a nice article. I'm in agreement with you. The two characters fit well in one page =). What do you say about the initial suggestion? --User:K2L/sig 22:13, 4 December 2010 (EST)
Haha, silly me, I misunderstood the question. Hmm...splitting the sidequest part into its own section sounds like an interesting idea, as I mentioned above. I guess it could work. There's a section in the Anju and Kafei pages describing an overview of what the sidequest does, and it has a main link to the Reuniting Kafei and Anju page. I'd love to write a summary for this page, as long as we don't split the characters. ;) Dany36 22:18, 4 December 2010 (EST)
Alright, to avoid confusions, I renamed the title of the section =P. --User:K2L/sig 02:09, 5 December 2010 (EST)

Turning the 'Helping Romani and Cremia section into a Sidequest article

In the hopes that everybody already got what the above split suggestion is about (it's NOT about the characters, it's about moving the Helping Romani and Cremia section into a new page), I have left a prototype of the hypothetic new article (select the 1st hidden headline to view it). You may notice it has been properly expanded, and some sections added. First thing first, though: Do you agree with the creation of this new page? --User:K2L/sig 23:37, 28 January 2011 (EST)

I don't have a problem with it. Like I said: "There's a section in the Anju and Kafei pages describing an overview of what the sidequest does, and it has a main link to the Reuniting Kafei and Anju page. I'd love to write a summary for this page." ;) Dany36 00:15, 29 January 2011 (EST)
Not only does this comment act as a "bump", but it is also in firm support of this idea. Let's reference the Reuniting Kafei and Anju page, one that mirrors this proposal. It successfully describes the sidequest pertaining to the two characters without going too far into actual characterization. The article also calmly strafes the fine line between encyclopedic and "strategy guide" without catering to either over the other. Judging by the viewership on the Anju-Kafei sidequest page (120,000+ views), it's been a popular decision. Let's pull the votes necessary to put this identical proposal into action. — ciprianotalk 23:23, 28 October 2011 (EDT)
