Why?

Why did you revert my last edition on the sacred realm page? I have passed almost all the Zelda games in Spanish (Spain) and I can't remember the name Region Sagrada. It's called Tierra Dorada (Golden Land) or Reino Sagrado(Sacred Realm), but never Region Sagrada.SilverArcher 14:03, 1 April 2011 (EDT)

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but the only Zelda games ever to mention the Sacred Realm were A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, and Twilight Princess, and this last one was the only one of the three to be translated into Spanish. According to this text dump, the Spanish (Spain) version indeed refers to the Sacred Realm as "Region Sagrada". Do you remember where exactly you saw it referred to as "Tierra Dorada" or "Region Sagrada"? OK, I didn't pass Twilight, but I don't have time to read that text. Also, it's possible that text isn't about the restibg place of the Triforce, it could be about the regions of Farone, Lanayru...

And the remake of A Link to the Past also states that is Reino Sagrado. And its older, so I think its a little more canonical.

Just FYI

Just to let you know, I have personally accessed the area above the graveyard using the hookshot/longshot (longshot if I need to be specific). I did this on the original gold case cartridge, first version of Ocarina of Time, maybe they have prevented this in newer versions (I'm sure they never intended for people to get in with the longshot). Anyway, it is possible to access the Shadow Temple this way and is absolutely not a "false statement". You should try it on the original version (or maybe it can still be done in newer ones?) I try to keep my edit summaries as brief as possible, so if it came off as rude or offended you in any way, I assure you it was not my intention. I did try to make sure I was certain it wasn't possible (yes, I did try it on the 1.0 version with no success) before reverting your edit; there was nothing that indicated it was possible. Research did not bring anything up, so if it's possible it certainly isn't very well known.

As I have said, I've tested it out myself with no success, even on the 1.0 version. I even asked some of the administrators and they said that, although they've seen the Shadow Temple being reached through certain glitches, they've never heard of it being possible to do so with the Hookshot. I'm really not seeing what could be "hookshotted" onto (for lack of a better term), other than the fence separating the graveyard from the temple entrance, and that doesn't seem to work. Perhaps your particular game is glitched? Are you certain you're not mistaken? Would it be possible for you to prove it (via a recording or whatever)? I hate to ask you all this, but I hope you understand that I do so entirely with the well-being of the Wiki in mind.

Hmmm, well, I can't be the only one who's done this, can I? Yes, I did hookshot the fence, it did take me a while; I discovered it because I was exploring and saw the fence and that it lead somewhere (this was before I had reached the Shadow Temple) and simply attempted to access it repeatedly and was finally successful. I figured out later in the game I shouldn't have gotten there that way :/ I have repeated it too, but it's not a 100% thing I guess, determination would be key.

I have no way of proving it, I wouldn't know how to record myself playing on my N64 and if it is a glitch unique to my cartridge then it wouldn't be successful on an emulator. Besides, I'm out of the country for school and I don't have my console even if there were a way :(

A nomination question.

Inquire to my question of the Featured Article section, as one of the main rules applies, saying ten users must agree to nomination of an article, which of mine being the Sheikah, how in fact do you get ten users to agree to such? Or do you post your nomination of the article then the users approve or disapprove of it? I'm pretty much basically confused onto that point, any answers...? If not, that's fine, bro! First you post the article on the Featured Article Nomination page, then the people vote. When nominating an article, try to copy the same formatting as everyone else. This means you first have a right-aligned image, then small comment about the page, and finally the vote templates. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. It's fully your decision, but I'd think twice about nominating an article like Sheikah, given that it reads mostly like a story. Although it may make for a nice read, it's not the kind of content that's appropriate for an encyclopedia; it's something we're trying to fix (hence the Story template). As you can see with the Great Flood nomination, articles with "Chrissues" (articles written by the user Christopher, who was responsible for many important articles at ZW, but was notorious for his story-telling style) usually don't go over fairly well. While I'm at it, I have a few questions: 1. The Wiki has been acting funny from the last day, and I was unable to access it. Now that I can access it, I can't access User Pages. If this is a known issue, then I was just wondering what's wrong.

2. A few of the featured pictures of this site are increased in size than the original picture, or so I think, so I was thinking if I should do something with them, or is it discouraged.

For example: This is a Featured Picture in this Wiki: http://www.zeldawiki.org/images/archive/8/84/20100504011622!Link_and_Boss_Key.png This is an option for replacing the above image: http://www.zeldaeurope.de/galerie/albums/gallery/Z9/Illus/z12_02_big.jpg

While the above image is 900x900 and the one below is 600x600, I think the second one is the original. Also, notice the details on the walls and everything else of the lower one, while the above one looks like its walls and everything else are blurred.

No problem. To answer your questions:

1. The Wiki is having issues due to a recent server move. The problem should (hopefully) be fixed shortly. In the meantime, if you wish to edit your userpage you can do so my manually inserting the URL. This is yours.

2. Well, usually, the bigger the image the better, so long as the quality is retained. The Zelda Europe one is definitely better though. Go for it. I would recommend saving that image as a PNG and uploading it as a newer version of the existing file instead of uploading a new file.

Speaking of file extensions... it's been a couple images new that you've uploaded with uppercase file extensions (.PNG instead of .png). For the sake of consistency, all images should be uploaded with lowercase file extensions. But don't worry too much about it, an admin will take care of the couple uppercase PNGs you uploaded... eventually. :P

By the ways, there are a lot of duplicate images, and I was wondering wouldn't it be better to delete the lower quality one? And if so, how can I mark them for deletion?

Every time you upload an image that supersedes another, the outdated/no longer needed/duplicate file should be marked with the Imdel template. You can also specify the reason why the image should be deleted ({{Imdel|sup}} for a superseded file, {{Imdel|df}} for a duplicate file, and so on). Doing so adds the image to Category:Images for deletion, which will occasionally be cleaned out by an admin (usually Dany).

Unfortunately, moving files is a privilege only admins have. I don't know why. If we can move content pages, why can't we move files? Anyways, that's the way it is. If you want a file moved, you'll have to ask an admin. Most of them are no-lifers, so if you ask nicely it'll get done in a reasonable amount of time. :P — Hylian King ^[*] 08:42, 22 June 2011 (EDT)

Hey, I noticed that you're updating things for Freshly Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, too! I got it last week, and have been adding new items as I cam across them since around Lon Lon Meadow. Oh, I've been using that as a guide, it's not always reliable. And it never has images, a lot of my contributions are requested images. If you do happen to get FPTRR, I highly recommend using desmume or some other emulator to run it on your PC, so you can get great screenshots (That's how I've been doing it). I already passed the Death Bug Chrysalis, and I just can not be arsed to go back and do the whole first continent and then some over again to get that picture. If you happen to get that, 'twould be epic win.

When you start playing, feel free to ask me for hints/help if needed. I'll keep working on pictures and updates for the wiki in the mean time.
