Skyloft is a location in Skyward Sword. It is a series of floating islands above the clouds and it is the place where Link was born and raised.[1] It also serves as the home to the sacred blade: the Skyward Sword. The citizens of Skyloft, including Link, seem to be unaware of any land beneath the clouds or any other world outside of Skyloft.[2] However, a land below the clouds known as Hyrule is eventually discovered being ruled by evil forces, forcing Link to leave Skyloft and finding himself traveling back and forth between these two lands, Skyloft and the kingdom of Hyrule, with the help of the Skyward Sword.[3][4]
