Template:Dungeons Manji Labyrinth (Or simply Level 3) is the third dungeon in The Legend of Zelda.

Concept

First Quest

In the first quest, it's entrance is located within the western forest area of Hyrule. The interior of this dungeon appears to be made of stone bricks, like most dungeons in The Legend of Zelda, with its primary color being green.

The main dungeon item of this dungeon in first quest is the Raft, which is used only in the overworld of Hyrule. The boss of the dungeon is Manhandla, who guards one of the Triforce pieces.

When looked on a map, this dungeon resembles the shape of a manji. It is not to be confused with the Swastika; a manji's points are in the opposite direction.

Second Quest

Template:Dungeons

In the second quest, the Manji Labyrinth's location was moved, and its entrance is now beneath a pond atop a green hill in western Hyrule, requiring the Flute from the previous dungeon to gain access. Additionally, the dungeon's walls and floors were also changed into a dark and deep shade of blue. Despite it not being the first dungeon, it is actually pretty small in size, but now greatly differs in difficulty.

The dungeon item of the dungeon was replaced by the Magical Boomerang, which is guarded by a room full of blue Goriya. Curiously, this dungeon offers no real boss, but instead a room full of red Goriya who all guard one of the Triforce pieces. However three Dodongos were also added as mini-bosses, who guard a compass in the next room.

Additionally, the Manji Labyrinth in the second quest is the first dungeon to have a 'friendly' Goriya, who will grumble and will not let Link pass unless he gives him some Bait.

The most noteable difference in the shape of this dungeon was that it was changed from the shape of a manji into the shape of the letter L, (although not a pure L, as there are two more rooms which are disconnected from the rest of the dungeon), sharing a common link with most second quest dungeon that use letters to make up a word. When the shapes of the Lizard Labyrinth (Letter Z), Eagle Labyrinth (Letter E), Manji Labyrinth (Letter L), Snake Labyrinth (Letter D), and Moon Labyrinth (Letter A) are listed in that order, they spell Zelda.
