Protected Pages Requiring Editing

This section is to be used to request the editing or correcting of a protected page. Requesting this here is faster and more likely to be noticed by an admin.
Note to admins: It would be best to never archive this section.

As you may have noticed from the Recent Changes, I corrected many links linking to the Twilight Princess disambiguation page. I'm sort of a perfectionist, so I like to be thorough. It was already agreed upon that fixing these links on talk pages and user pages will help those users to remember how to correctly link to the respective page. There are still four pages left to be fixed at Pages that link to Twilight Princess. The one on the talk page stays because it is clearly said that that link is a link to the disambiguation page. But the rest are protected news pages.User:Matt/sig 15:15, July 20, 2008 (UTC)

The two pages in the category Wiki Exclusives need their links to "The Legend of Zelda series" corrected to "The Legend of Zelda (Series)".User:Matt/sig 17:39, August 13, 2008 (UTC)

Too many new users sign their posts wrong. They do something like this:

~~~~Username
No offense to anyone that has done this, but I'm getting sick of explaining it every time. One solution is to edit this page and add detail instructions on how not to make this mistake. We could use bold letters, underlining, bright and contrasting colors, etc. to make it impossible not to notice it.User:Matt/sig 22:09, September 21, 2008 (UTC)
I think the article's Talk Page is used a lot more then this. User:Austin/sig 13:47, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
Userboxes
How can I put my userboxes in a neat column on my page? They are currently a pretty ugly mess on my user page, and can be seen easily here. Some help would be greatly appreciated.Justin(Talk) 00:21, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
Image Copyrighting
I recently changed the Mystery Seed image to be transparent like the other seeds on the Mystical Seed page, but I had to make a new page since the JPG version wouldn't go transparent. Since it isn't my image, and I didn't scan it in, it didn't seem right to take any sort of credit for it. The original image (the jpg) was cited as contributed by Yuvorias, and I didn't know what to do with the copyright/citing of the new image. So here I am...do I cite it to Yuvorias, myself, Nintendo, or can I just not cite it and leave it be? User:Italiangenius91/sig 02:55, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
The way it's set up, is that if you "significantly" change the image, it should be put under your name. Do you think you made substantial changes? I'd ask him what he thinks on his talk page, if I were you.
The exact text is as follows: This template indicates that you yourself created this image by scanning it, taking it (as in a screenshot), or significantly editing an existing image. Alter  {T C B H } 03:01, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
New Project Suggestion
Since I'm tired of seeing multiple tiny articles on trading sequence items, I think we should create pages for the trading sequences of each game. For example, we make a page titled "Trading Sequence in Ocarina of Time" and place all trading sequence items on this page. We then redirect the small articles to the page. It would help to keep the wiki nice and lean. Can I get an approval on this?Justin(Talk) 18:12, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
There are already pages like that.User:Mandi/sig 18:23, October 4, 2009 (UTC)
...then can we get rid of the pages for the individual items and turn them into redirects?Justin(Talk) 18:27, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
Not all of them are small enough to really fit nicely onto one large page. And there are several that could be expanded more.User:Matt/sig 18:35, October 4, 2009 (UTC)
I understand your point of view Neo. The proper procedure would be to place Merge tags onto the pages you think would be best placed into the Trading Sequence page and eliminated as an Items page. Get some opinions on it and follow suit. But I have to stand with Matt and Mandi that we should judge it on a case by case basis. In other news, good timing you have there, I just tweaked the merge tag to be able to include several pages in the link just type: {{merge|This Item|That Item|Etc|So On}} User:Axiomist/sig 18:41, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
Hmmm...I may do this. However, I'm in a library and, as such, have limited time. I'm going to go ahead and get started, though. I'll try to get through at least two or three sequences worth of items.Justin(Talk) 18:52, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
RSS and Atom feeds broken
I'm trying to use the feed of the Recent Changes page, but it is broken. I think that this is because there is a space at the start of the first line, meaning that it doesn't validate. Please could you look into this. Thanks. (Edit: I've discovered that my newsreader copes with it fine, it's just Firefox's feed preview that barfs at the error) --User:Petenu/sig 10:23, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
mylogin
my login isnt been working too well. it keeps unlogging in and causing me problems. i need help. [[User:The-Gman!]] DATS ME!!! 02:51, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
No one else is reporting problems. But we are willing to test the site in various browsers provided you tell us which one is acting up to you. User:Axiomist/sig 04:08, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
This may be Internet Explorer related. My computer offers Firefox and IE, and I much prefer Firefox. If you're using IE, I suggest you research a Firefox download. The site will run much more smoothly, as it was designed by and for Firefox. IE creates all sorts of problems.Justin(Talk) 12:35, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
Music?
Could it be possible for this Wiki to incorporate music files on ocarina song pages, or in general? I believe music clips from the actual games (used only for articles that necessitate it, like Requiem of Spirit or even the Twilight Princess theme to Hyrule Field) would add another dimension to the site, create extra interest, and fully-involve the reader along with the visuals and text already in the article. They could even be referenced and attributed - like they are on Wikipedia itself. Good idea? User:Cipriano 119/sig 03:37, 27 October, 2009 (UTC)
It's certainly a possibility. Not sure how feasible or legal it is, but it's something we can look into. --Xizor 05:45, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
