All in order?

There has been a lot of information stating which Zeldas go where. OOT is first, as it is the first hero, since there was no recorded history of a previous hero (like LOZ-AOL). As well OOT Splits into two timelines, Adult, and Child, which go to TWW and MM respectively. As well, the end of ALTTP says: "And the Master Sword sleeps forever". If it sleeps forever, how come it was in OOT, which came out far AFTER ALTTP?
