Order

There are many ways to complete the levels in Ocarina of Time. I have completed this game many times and have tried many different orders. I'll list the abbreviations in the normal order. That is the order that Navi tells you to go in.

• Forest Temple - FT
• Fire Temple - FR
• Water Temple - WR
• Shadow Temple - SW
• Spirit Temple - SP

Here are the orders.

• FT→FR→WR→SW→SP
• FT→FR→WR→SP→SW
• FT→FR→SP→WR→SW
• FR→FT→WR→SW→SP
• FR→FT→WR→SP→SW
• FR→FT→SP→WR→SW

I also just realized that the following orders are also possible. It is assuming you enter and, but not complete, other levels for any necessary items.

• SP→FT→FR→WR→SW
• SP→FR→FT→WR→SW
• SP→WR→FT→FR→SW

• SP→WR→FR→SW→FT
• WR→SW→FT→FR→SP

There are a lot more, but you get the general idea. With this concept of obtaining items from temples and then leaving before finishing, along with the fact that the Shadow Temple always has to be after the Water Temple, we can figure out how many ways there are to finish the levels. First we start off with all the possible places of these two temples. I'll use xx to represent a wildcard.

So that is ten different places for those temples. In each of those, there are six possible ways to arrange the other three temples. So, six times ten equals sixty. That means that are sixty different ways to finish the five temples. Given this, perhaps we should only list the default way, the path suggested by Navi, on this article. On the game itself, although the Shadow Temple is technically the fifth temple, according to Navi, the Shadow Medallion itself occupies the sixth slot. Thoughts? Felicia's Champion, 00:12, 17 July 2008 (EST)

Now that you mention it, yeah, I remember looking at that and thinking "wait wtf???" I'm not quite sure what to make of it. The Chamber of Sages is oriented the same way. So we go with Navi or the interface? User:Ando/sig 14:38, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

I can see why some might think that the interface way would by official way. But the Spirit Temple, as Adult Link, is slightly harder without first getting the Hover Boots. As Adult Link , in the room with the rolling rock, you normally need the Hover Boots to get the last Silver Rupee to unlock the door. To get it without the Hover Boots, you have to do a rolling jump off the ledge and let yourself get hit by the rock. It will then knock you into the Silver Rupee. it is quite a hard to do and could take many tries. Given how you have to finish the Spirit Temple if you don't get the Hover Boots first, we should stick with the Navi-suggested path. We can also say right in the Shadow and Spirit parts that it is possible to complete the levels in the interface way. But stating that in another sentence from the one that says what number it is. So thats, one sentence to say the Navi order. And another to say the interface order if it differs. Also, should organize the medallion sections by the Navi order instead of alphabetically?User:Matt/sig 15:21, July 17, 2008 (UTC)

First, for Matt who is right above me, the part of the spirit temple with the rocks, you just run, roll off the edge, then do an aerial jump attack when your about to hit the silver rupee, you don't have to murder yourself with the rock.

Okay, the Spirit Temple cant be accessed before completing the forest Temple, in order to get the Lens of Truth, and before half of the Water Temple, in order to get the Longshot. Also, the Shadow Temple can't be accessed unless the forest, fire, and water temples are completed. And so it's possible to get the fire medallion last. RupeeLord 02:00, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Wind-Themed

In the part of this article that talks about Saria's part in Ganon's Castle originally being wind-themed, that site it references is now defunct. However, I still looked through the site using the Internet Archive Wayback Machine to browse the site. A list of archived versions of the site can be found here. I looked through and could not find any reference to this wind-theme Saria section of Ganon's Tower. For now, I removed the reference and added a citation needed tag. How, specifically, is their power being added to yours if all their power combined is only capable of creating a rainbow bridge?

Oh I though he just re-uploaded them on mine (which is what should've been done). I think there's a problem with ImageMagick when scaling .png files, they seem to appear blurry when scaled down.User:MARKOL/sig 20:58, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
