Finding Bagu

The master of the town of Saria. Link finds Bagu in a thick, wooded area. The river guards of Saria require his permission to allow outsiders to cross the bridge that leads to Death Mountain.

It is likely that the name Bagu is a joke from the developers, since he is close friends and quest-related to the character Error. "Bagu" would be the romanization of the Japanese way of writing the word "bug". As such, "bug" and "error" refer to a computer's malfunctioning.

Bagu vs. Link

"Bagu" also appears in the Valiant comic series. He was excited to run into Link a while after the events of Adventure of Link occurred. He stayed at Hyrule Castle for few days, pretending to befriend Link and Zelda, but in a sudden moment, he betrayed them and stole the Triforce of Wisdom. Link managed to catch up with "Bagu", and fought with him. "Bagu" soon realized that Link had brought his Power Glove with him, and that he would be no match against such a weapon. He surrendered as he told his tale to Link- Ganon had kidnapped his two pet frogs, and was holding them ransom, and demanded the Triforce in return. Link offered to give "Bagu" his Power Glove so he could stop Ganon. It is unknown what events occured during his attack on Ganon, but he did return safely with both of his frogs.
