City in the Sky is the seventh dungeon in Twilight Princess. It can be accessed only after paying Fyer 300 rupees to repair the broken down Sky Cannon. This city is where the Oocca tribe lives and is the final dungeon where Ooccoo appears as an item. The dungeon relies very much on the Double Clawshot found inside it after defeating the mini-boss, an Aeralfos. The Iron Boots are also used often in this windy dungeon. The dungeon's boss is the Twilit Dragon, Argorok.

When exploring the high altitudes and braving the frigid winds of the City in the Sky, it is best to use caution near ledges, grapples, thin walkways, and towers (use a slow and steady pace). The city runs on many ancient and complex machines that are far more advanced than anything found in Hyrule. These machines use the power of the wind to its full extent. Wind is the fuel of the city, it powers every major machine that Link comes across.

A Link in Time

The City in the Sky is said to be the "link" (or bridge) between Hyrule and the Sacred Realm. The City in the Sky is very similar to the Palace of Winds found in The Minish Cap. Although two separate races created each city during different time periods, they share a common bond that is as mysterious as the wind that links them.

Other Possible References

The City in the Sky has a strong resemblance to the fictional country Laputa from the book Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. The movie Castle in the Sky by Hayao Miyazaki, features a floating city, that was once home to an ancient civilization of people, who established a kingdom there, however was lost due to war and it's King's wrongdoings. The City in the Sky's design may have been based around Laputa of the same name, of which there are various paintings depicting an artists impression of what Laputa may look like.

Scenes from this dungeon also appear in Link's Crossbow Training.
