Evermeans are Enemies in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]

Characteristics

Evermeans are Monsters that disguise themselves as Trees until their prey comes within range, at which point they jump from the ground and walk on their roots to approach. They can be told apart from normal Trees because of their occasional fidgeting, though they can also be detected with the Purah Pad's Camera. Like Trees, Evermeans are weak to Fire and explosions and can be cut with bladed Weapons.[2] Some Evermeans carry Apples or Courser Bee Honeys on their branches. Despite not having any apparent eyes or ears, Evermeans are capable of seeing and hearing Link. They are susceptible to Muddle Buds and Puffshrooms, but not Dazzlefruits. When defeated, an Evermean will drop any Materials attached to its body, as well as an Evermean Log. Additionally, they may drop Materials such as Monster Extracts and Golden Apples regardless of whether they were growing on them. They can drop Weapons such as Sturdy Thick Sticks or Gnarled Thick Sticks upon defeat.

Evermeans in the Depths can be found primarily in large groves beneath named forests and woods on the Surface. A small group of Evermeans can also be found near the Construct Factory, far away from any named groves. When defeated, Gloom-wreathed Evermeans will drop Zonaite and may drop Dark Clumps.

Trivia

  • If Link shoots an Arrow at an Evermean, the small, blue-colored particle sparkle effect will play instead of the white-yellow spark, which happens when shooting Arrows at regular Trees, and terrain. Shooting an arrow at any other solid Object (for rocks, it must not be embedded in the ground). This is because, if Enemies are immune to or block Arrows, they display the blue particle effect.
