Properties
Def 30

Lynel Shields are Shields favored by Lynels for both their defensive and offensive capabilities.[1] While they are primarily useful as Shields, their edges are capable of dealing slash attacks that do 7 damage while deflecting.[1] They belong to the Lynel Gear equipment archetype, a series of Weapons created by and for Lynels.[3]

Regular Lynels predominately use Lynel Shields, however Blue-Maned Lynels in Master Mode will use them instead. They can become scarce as Lynels tier up, but since the Lynel on Ploymus Mountain will always remain a regular Lynel, it will always be a source of Lynel Shields.

Being made of metal, Lynel Shields will conduct Electricity and attract Lightning if they are equipped during Thunderstorms. They will also sink if they are dropped in water. However, they can be picked up and manipulated with the Magnesis Rune, and they will not burn when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.
