Iron Treasure Chests are recurring Objects in The Legend of Zelda series.(TotK)[1] Iron Treasure Chests go unnamed in Breath of the Wild and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Metal Chests are a metallic type of Treasure Chest with gold banding and Hylian Crests adorning their sides. Due to their metallic composition, they can be manipulated with Magnesis. They can also be affected by Stasis. They can conduct Electricity and may attract Lightning. When viewed with the Camera Rune, they can be registered in the Hyrule Compendium. Once registered in the Compendium, they can be Sheikah Sensor + targets, though they will not be distinguished from other types of Treasure Chest by the Compendium and Sheikah Sensor +.

Metal Chests do not contain any different Items from other Treasure Chests. In addition to being found on the ground, they can also be found underwater or embedded in the ground. In both cases Magnesis is required to retrieve them. They can also randomly appear as amiibo Rune rewards.

Tears of the Kingdom

Iron Treasure Chests are a metallic type of Treasure Chest decorated with gold-colored banding and simplified Hylian Crests. They do not contain any different Items from other Treasure Chests, but they can be manipulated and moved about with Ultrahand. Though they can be merged together with other Objects, they cannot be Fused. Due to their metallic composition, they can conduct Electricity and may attract Lightning. When viewed with the Camera, they can be registered in the Hyrule Compendium and set as Sensor targets. However, the Hyrule Compenium and Sensor will not distinguish them apart from other types of Treasure Chest.

Iron Treasure Chests are typically found throughout the Surface. They can be located underwater or embedded in the ground. In both cases, Ultrahand is required to retrieve them. Iron Treasure Chests can appear as random drops from the amiibo Ancient Power.
