The Hinox (Youngest Kin) is a Sub-Boss in Breath of the Wild.[1]

Characteristics

The Hinox (Youngest Kin) is a regular Hinox that resides in Hanu Pond on Mount Taran.[1] It is one of the Giant Brothers that inhabit the mountain, the other two being the Hinox (Middle Kin) and Hinox (Oldest Kin). Like the other two, an Ancient Orb is tied to its necklace. It spends all of its time asleep, but if Link disturbs it, it will wake up and begin to attack him.[2] After being defeated, the Hinox (Youngest Kin) will be revived following every Blood Moon.

During "The Three Giant Brothers" Shrine Quest, Link must steal the Ancient Orb from the Hinox (Youngest Kin).[3] This can be done either by defeating it or by stealing the Orb using Stealth. The Ancient Orb can then be placed into one of the Pedestals on Mount Taran. Once all three Pedestals have been activated, Tawa Jinn Shrine will rise from the ground.[4]

In Master Mode, the Hinox (Youngest Kin) will remain a regular Hinox, despite others becoming Blue Hinoxes.

After Link defeats Calamity Ganon for the first time, Kilton will ask him to defeat all of the Hinox in Hyrule so he can examine their scent. This figure includes the Hinox (Youngest Kin). Once Link completes this task, Kilton will give him the Medal of Honor: Hinox as a reward.
