Mad Scrub
Mad Scrubs (オコリナッツ, Okorinattsu) are enemies from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
Mad Scrubs are to Deku Scrubs what Moblins are to Bokoblins. They lack the intelligence for tactical thinking, and so rely on brute force for protection. They also lack sentience, and so will simply protect their territory; friend or foe. The territoriality of Mad Scrubs have led to their use by the Deku Scrubs as makeshift turret cannons in the Deku Palace.
Mad Scrubs are known to have invaded sacred and holy lands, such as the Sacred Forest Meadow (before being flushed out by Ganondorf's Moblins), the Kokiri Forest, and Woodfall. Where they are found will determine how they act; Hyrulian Mad Scrubs will attack like Deku Scrubs, but fire repeatedly like a slowed-down machine gun. Termanian Mad Scrubs will attack by lobbing Deku Nuts. They also variate in strength. Mad Scrubs in Hyrule will flee after being attacked, and will require another hit to be defeated. Due to their exploitation in Termina, however, they die before they can flee.
Similar to Deku Scrubs, Mad Scrubs will reside in Deku Flowers.
