Coffin are recurring Objects in The Legend of Zelda series.(OoT3D)[1] Coffins go unnamed in Ocarina of Time, Phantom Hourglass, Ripened Tingle's Balloon Trip of Love, and Hyrule Warriors.

Location and Uses

Ocarina of Time

Stone Coffins can be found at the Bottom of the Well. Each Coffin there has a corresponding stationary Torch that will open the Coffin when lit. These Coffins may contain Enemies such as Keese or Gibdos, or they may hide Items such as Hearts or a Small Keys.

According to the Lake Scientist, the Spooky Mask was carved from the wood of a Coffin.[2][citation needed]

Phantom Hourglass



King Mutoh's Coffins appears inside Mutoh's Temple.

Ripened Tingle's Balloon Trip of Love



The Royal Coffin is a Sub-Boss in Ripened Tingle's Balloon Trip of Love.

Hyrule Warriors



A chained stone Coffin that acts as a seal for part of Ganondorf's Spirit appears in the Temple of the Sacred Sword. Its seal is kept in place by the Master Sword in its Pedestal. After Link draws the Master Sword, the seal is broken and Ganondorf's Spirit breaks out from the Coffin.[3]
