Bones are recurring Objects in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][name references needed][2]
Location and Uses
Link's Awakening
In Link's Awakening, piles of Bones can be found in rocky or sandy areas like caverns and Yarna Desert. There is a pile of Bone in CiaoCiao's hut.
Twilight Princess
Bones can be found in Hyrule Castle Town on the southeast road beside a dog. The Bone can be picked up and thrown. If thrown, the nearby dog will chase after it, wagging its tail.[3] If Link throws the Bone near some bushes, the dog may bring back Rupees instead.[verification needed]
Other Appearances
Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland
In Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, the Bone is an ingredient that can be obtained mostly from Rats. They can be used to make Tingle Fireworks and Sunshine Paste.
Zelda's Adventure
In Zelda's Adventure, the Bone can be purchased from the general store in Great Wimbich for 20 Rupees. It can then be given to the shopkeeper's dog outside, which will then drop the Short Axe Spell.
