The Seven Wise Men appeared in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. They were instrumental in sealing away Ganon.

When Ganon obtained the Triforce, and began to spread evil on the land, the Lord of Hyrule ordered the Seven Wise Men and Knights of Hyrule to seal the Golden Land. After the people of Hyrule forged the Master Sword, the Seven Wise Men searched for someone to use it. Before they could find someone, Ganon's army attacked and they, with the Knights of Hyrule, waged war. Many knights died, but it gave the Seven Wise Men enough time to seal Ganon in the Golden Land. This later became known as the Imprisoning War.

In the time of Link to the Past, the King's daughters, the seven maidens, are all descendants of the Seven Wise Men, Princess Zelda being the last. These seven wise men may or may not refer to the seven sages in Ocarina of Time.
