When Link visits the village, he is tasked by the Anouki chief to pair up all of the Anoukis in order to put together a village watch for all the monsters that have begun to appear after the Spirit Tracks vanished. Since all Anoukis have strict requirements as to who they will pair up with, the young hero must talk to all of them and find out their preferences.[1] Noko comments to Link he dislikes Anouki who wear yellow clothes.[2] Due to his preferences, Link ends pairing him up with an old Anouki dressed in blue named Kofu.

Noko also works at the village's spring, creating Mega Ice, an ice so cold it can freeze lava. As an Ice ChuChu fell into the pool used to create Mega Ice, Link must bring Noko to the Wellspring Station, another area where Mega Ice can be made.
