So cool...

The Freezard is featured in Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess. It blows an icy gale, known as freezing death, straight infront of itself at regular intervals. Upon impact, this freezing death will encase anything it touches, even Link, in a coating of ice that slowly eats away at one's life energy. These enemies have the ability to disappear and reappear somewhere else as well. To defeat them easily, keeping circling them until they blow their freezing death, then attack them from any side with your sword and they will be no more. Most weapons can defeat a Freezard, but arrows cannot pierce their thick icy hide. Being composed of ice, they have a natural weakness to heat. To dispatch them quickly and effectively, try a Fire Arrow.

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Freezards come in two forms. 1) A very, very large "dragon" like beast that breathes cold air and is first seen blocking a doorway in the Snowpeak Ruins. This form can only be defeated by using a cannon and ball, and later in the dungeon with the Ball and Chain. When shattered, they break into the smaller Freezard versions. These very large Freezards closely resemble adult Sheegoths from Metroid Prime. 2) Again first encountered in the Snowpeak Ruins, the smaller versions don't actually attack with a freezing blast. They simply move slowly toward Link and will freeze him on contact. Two slashes with the sword will shatter them. However, as they are always on ice, the Freezard will slide around quickly, hitting other Freezards in the area.
