Three-of-a-Kind are enemies in Link's Awakening.[2]

Characteristics

Three-of-a-Kinds scurry around in a room in groups of three, with alternating suits of cards shown on their chest, initially all of them having the same suit. To defeat them, Link must hit one of them, which will cause it to halt and stop, showing one of the four card suits. Then, Link must hit the other two so the suits all match up. If they do not match, they will all start shambling around the room again. If all three of the enemies are defeated with a suit of diamonds, they will each drop a Rupee. If all three are defeated with a suit of hearts, they will each drop a Heart.

Nomenclature

Three-of-a-Kind is a type of hand in poker, containing three cards of the same rank. Their Japanese name is a reference to Las Vegas, a popular city for playing poker.
