Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Hyrule Compendium Entry
227 (232) Guardian Sword
Description
A sword often wielded by Guardian Scouts. Its blue energy blade is a product of ancient technology. It's not very durable.
Common Locations
Eldin Canyon
Tabantha Frontier
Properties
Atk 20

Guardian Swords are Weapons sometimes wielded by Guardian Scouts II and, in Master Mode, Guardian Scouts III, which can be found in "A Minor Test of Strength" Ancient Shrines. The Swords can be retrieved when the Guardian Scouts drop them after being defeated. They also have a chance to appear inside Treasure Chests that are spawned by scanning the Breath of the Wild Series Guardian amiibo with the amiibo Rune. Guardian Swords use Ancient Technology to produce their blue energy blade, though they are not very durable.[1]

Due to their composition, Guardian Swords deal additional damage against Guardians. They will float if they are dropped in Water, and they are unable to burn when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate. Guardian Swords also do not conduct Electricity or attract Lightning if they are equipped during a Thunderstorm. Finally, the Magnesis Rune is incapable of picking them up.

Guardian Swords belong to the Guardian Gear equipment archetype, a series of Weapons used by Guardian Scouts.[3]
