Skyloft Mantises are Bugs and Items in Skyward Sword.[2][3]

Location and Uses

Fi's Commenthide ▲
Fi says:

Species name: Skyloft Mantis
Sensitivity to human presence: 70%
Usable as a potion ingredient.

Be aware that this insect is surprisingly agile when it is fleeing, so you must approach it cautiously.

Skyloft Mantises can be found in Skyloft and can be caught using the Bug Net. Skyloft Mantises can be used to upgrade Potions at the Potion Shop or sold to Strich at the Knight Academy at night. They hide to ambush their prey with their sharp arms to quickly devour them. Skyloft Mantises prefer darkness, so they usually hide under Jars.[4]
