Properties |
Flameblades are magical swords that were forged in the lava of Death Mountain.[1] When they are glowing red, they will emit Fire when swung.[1] Equipping one will provide Link with one level of Cold Resistance. They are often used by Enemies in Hyrule Field and East Necluda. When used against Ice-related Enemies, such as Ice-Breath Lizalfos and Ice Keese, they will be defeated with a single strike.
Though their strength comes from their Fire damage, Flameblades are still made of metal. Therefore, they can attract Lightning during Thunderstorms and conduct Electricity. However, they can be picked up using the Magnesis Rune on the Sheikah Slate. They also sink in Water, but they will not burn if they are exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.
