Description
These low-level, octopus-like monsters used to be aquatic, but their inflatable air sacs evolved so that they are able to float around in the air. Other monsters are known to take advantage of this ability, using them to make floating fortresses. They are trained to ascend when they hear a whistle but they will not attack.

Sky Octoroks can be found all around Hyrule soaring through the skies next to bridges and Sheikah Towers, or above bodies of water. They appear in groups of three or four holding planks containing Treasure Chests and enemies.[1] Some of these enemies are able to call for more Sky Octoroks holding planks with enemies if they spot Link. Sky Octoroks can be defeated with a single Arrow, dropping the contents of their planks when defeated. They are harmless to Link as they cannot attack like other Octoroks. Unlike other enemies, Sky Octoroks do not need the Blood Moon to respawn and do not drop Materials when defeated.
