Guufo is the guardian of Lord Rouru. His form is a resemblance of an owl. As all guardians are, he is over-protective with Rouru. Although he seems tough, he is quite gentle at heart.

Biography

Guufo is first seen searching for Elrora, the Watarara's chieftess.[1] While speaking with a fellow Watarara, he learns that the tribe's children have grown their wings, and the migration winds will soon turn.[2] Despite this, he refuses to leave until Rouru, who has gone missing, is found.[3] Once he finds Elrora, the cheiftess accepts that they may need to leave her son Rouru behind,[4] although Guufo promises to find the boy even he must forfeit his life.[5] With that he leaves anxiously, sensing a storm on the wind.[6] Guufo is next seen when Rouru briefly remembers when he had attempted to fly with Guufo himself urging him,[7] except the boy was unable to grow his wings,[8] which resulted in his fall, thus beginning the tribe's search for their heir.

Guufo is last seen after Elrora saves Rouru and Link from falling to their deaths after defeating Flare Dancers sent by Ganondorf. Relieved that Rouru's safe,[9] he hugs the prince tightly and bursts into tears. Guufo is astonished that Rouru grew his wings so quickly, since he wasn't able to at the ceremony.[10] He then leaves with his tribe on their migration.
