Template:Dungeons Buzz Blob Cave is the second Level in Tri Force Heroes. It is the second Level of the Woodlands area.

Themes and Navigation

Buzz Blob Cave is a large cavern with deep chasms and sparse foliage. The Level is simple in design, relying heavily on basic Totem and Bow puzzles. Because of this, the Kokiri Clothes serve well here.

Stage 1 starts at the cave's entrance, where the Links appear at different sides of the cavern. Bows can be found nearby for immediate use, allowing the Links to shoot down balloons to lower drawbridges, reuniting them. In the center of the cave are Buzz Blobs and a single balloon floating high above, containing a Key inside. The Links must throw themselves onto a ledge close to it in order to shoot it down, by forming a full Totem and throwing two Links onto the first ledge, and then throwing one Link onto the second ledge. The Key inside opens the gate leading to the Triforce Gateway.

In Stage 2, the Links appear on a grassy, fenced ledge. They are shortly surrounded by a circle of Buzz Blobs after pressing down a heavy switch together. A couple of the Buzz Blobs are electrified, requiring that the Links shoot them with the Bow instead of attacking directly. Defeating these Buzz Blobs summons another group of them, which defeating opens the gate to the next passage. The Stage's Triforce Gateway can be found there, as well as a small chest sitting on a narrow ledge containing 100 Rupees.

Stage 3 features a deep chasm where in its center are a pair of Deku Scrubs guarding a tall Switch. Rotating, wooden platforms move around the area, allowing the Links to reach the other platforms. The Links must form a Totem to shoot and defeat the Deku Scrubs, as well as to reach the three switches found in the cave. These switches must all be hit to open the gate to the next Triforce Gate. The switch in the center however will close when the Links try to approach it, thus requiring that they shoot at it with the Bow from afar. A chest in the west corner also contains 100 Rupees, which can only be reached by forming a Totem.

Stage 4 is where the Electric Blob King is fought inside of a large pit. The boss is electrified, and thus can only be attacked with the Bow. However, as the battle continues, he will grow taller and leave his weak spot (a red orb) out of reach. The Links must form a Totem to shoot at the weak spot, all while avoiding the boss's electric blasts. A hidden tunnel can also be found in the north-east inside the pit, reachable only by forming Totems. One Link can enter this tunnel to find several Rupees. There are also a few ledges with Hearts.

Drablands Challenge

The Drablands Challenge version of Buzz Blob Cave includes the following challenges: Pop all balloons, Complete within time limit, and Complete using Bombs instead.

In Pop all balloons, a number of red balloons appear in each of the four Stages, including the boss Stage. These balloons must all be popped in order to advance to the next Stage.

In Complete Using Bombs Instead, the Level replaces the Bow with Bombs, requiring the Links to time the Bombs before they are thrown towards objects such as balloons or switches.[1]
